Stake Pool & DRep

Welcome to the official repository for VSPBM. I am a dedicated Cardano Stake Pool and Registered Delegate Representative (DRep) focused on infrastructure resilience and transparent governance.

Mission Statement

My mission is to safeguard the Cardano network as much as I can by providing high-availability block production on independent hardware and ensuring that governance decisions are made with a "Technical First" mindset.

We believe that Cardano's strength lies in its decentralization; therefore, I operate entirely on Bare Metal infrastructure, avoiding the risks associated with centralized cloud providers.

Governance Philosophy (DRep)

As a registered DRep on Pre-prod (ID: drep1yg046arfltalnxtearmvv8hhuzphqcudlfaywzm852fmycc92qyve), VSPBM follows these core principles:

• Technical Verification: I do not vote "Yes" on Hard Forks or Protocol Parameter changes until they have been successfully stress-tested on my babymetal-node Preprod environment.
• Treasury Responsibility: I advocate for funding core infrastructure and developer tooling over short-term marketing initiatives.
• Small-SPO Alignment: I support parameters that maintain a level playing field for single-pool operators, especially those, like me, who are extremely small. That's why I'm a member of xSPO, repo link and instructions here

Once funds are available I shall be migrating my DRep status to Mainnet

Technical Stack

• Infrastructure: My relay is a very old desktop PC that I built myself with spare parts. The Block Producer is a miniPC.

• Network: Migrated to Mainnet on February 21st 2026.
• Mithril As of the start of epoch 217, my infrastructure/pool is a Mithril verifier.

Why Babymetal?

Babymetal is the name of my MiniPC. It is also the name of a very cool Japanese metal band.
